Presumably you mean you would eliminate the records in the additional
databases if they are already in your ebase system. There are several
methods I can think of (others please jump in)

First, and the obvious one to me, is to import the records in the
other databases into ebase and use the ebase de-dupe routine. Since
you are concerned about eliminating membes, I would guess that these
additional databases are prospects of some sort. There are a lot of
good reasons to include prospects in your ebase system. Obviously
it's easy to check which of your prosects are already members and
avoid sending unneccessary and annoying solicitations. You can track
the solicitations you sent them and see which were effective in
converting them to members. You can track those from whom you got a
"don't send me another letter" message.

If there are good reasons not to include them in ebase (although I
can't think of any <g>) you could create a relationship between those
files and the ebase names file using the DupeCheck field as a key
field. (Look at the DupeCheck Tight field in ebase to see how to
create this calculated field in your other databases.) Then create a
field in your other databases using the IsValid() function to flag
those with a related field in the ebase file.

Any other ideas?
