I'm new in my position - one person office and just learning
e-base. Hope someone can help me with this. I want to run a
report of donors who gave over a certain amount during our last
fiscal year (dates of 10/01/2000 - 9/30/01). I can get reports of
total giving but I can't figure out how to narrow it down to the
dates I want.

Any help is appreciated.

Subject: [support] Same Household & Individual Labels

Thanks for the explanation of how to do multiple finds with the
"heads or
not in household" check box on the query pages. We need all the
help on
multiple finds we can get.

But we were only doing a single find for "heads or not in
household" AND
newsletter flag.

What we are experiencing is that when we do this search, and then
go into
the household label option, the same names are displayed in preview
that
are displayed when you preview the individual label option.

We have four households. Shouldn't we expect four households when
we select
the label household preview option? Shouldn't we expect, when we
select the
label individual preview option, to see a list of individuals
*without* the
names of households or their members.

My reading of Page 14-2 of the Users' Manual (especially paragraph
8.)
seems to indicate that the household and individual label previews
should
be different, given the above search.

If my reading of Page 14-2 is correct, how can we fix househld and
individual labels so they do what they are supposed to do.

Thanks, Dave Shaw, for your help.

We are just starting out with householding. We have added a few
households
to our database according to directions on Page 10-3 f. of the

version of "How to Use ebase."

Our dificulty is that when we choose the household option in the
label
routine we get the same list of records that we get when we choose
the
individual option.

(We have followed the note at the bottom of, Users' P. 14-1, to
create our
found set by choosing the "Y radio button for the HEADS or NOT IN
HOUSEHOLD" option.)

You don't say what other criteria you use in your mailing lable
search
aside from "heads or not in household", so I wonder if you are
doing the
search correctly. If you have multiple search criteria, for
example, two
find requests, one for current members, and one for grace period
members,
the radio button needs to be checked on BOTH the find requests.
Here's the
logic:

All records must be:
Current members AND [Heads or not in household] (And means both
criteria
need to be on the same find request)

OR (new find request)

Grace members AND [Heads or not in household]
