It's not an ebase issue, since synching with the Palm is not an ebase
function - someone has added that to your file set. Possibly whoever
did that for you could troubleshoot that more effectively on site
than through the list. The most likely issue is that you are working
with a damaged file set. The FileMaker recover procedure is known to
leave errors behind, and with a complex solution like ebase, those
errors don't show up for some time.

I would very strongly recommend that you import the data you have
into a new or undamaged file set and abandon the one you are
currently working with. Either use a recent backup, or if you haven't
modified the ebase files very much, a new installation. Since you
have run the recover process and gained access to your current data,
you won't lose any work. The process involves importing the data from
each file in the damaged set into the corresponding file in a new
file set. Larry Bednar has created a FileMaker tool to keep track of
the bookkeeping - which files have been worked on, what the last
record number was, etc, and which makes this a boring exercise
instead of a terrifying one. I have a copy or perhaps Larry will jump
in with the URL for the tool.
