Member levels are currently calculated from the amount of the most recent Dues payment. To "fix" this (I would say "revise") I would take a look at the field definition of the field Level Calc (in the payments file) and duplicate the complex Case function calculation in the field Sum:MemberLevel in the names file, using Sum:YTD$ in place of Amount. Better would be to leave the current fields Find Member Level and Sum:MemberLevel in place and create new ones named Find Donor Level and Sum:DonorLevel to make it less confusing about what these fields actually do.
