[support] Merging information in emails

I want to create an email to go with a source code and insert information from two fields in the message. It's a membership renewal notice.

In the edit source code records, the merge list does not include some fields which were newly created. So, the question is, how do I include another field as a merge field in an email. Do I simply write it <<newfieldname>>?
