You can, and probably should, create separate records for any separate entity for whom you want to track contributions. In your case, create separate records for the individual board members and for their organizations. Attribute gifts accordingly. And if you want to send to only one of the two addresses, create a household for those two (or more?) records, designating as the primary record whichever address you want to send to. Then, when doing mailings, make sure you include a query step that selects only "heads of households" and records that aren't in a household. This can easily be done in the Query tab.
There's no way in ebase, without some modification, to "household" these gifts and somehow "credit" the board member with those dollar amounts. However, it might not be too difficult to customize ebase to provide a simplified mechanism to do this. I haven't thought it through fully yet as noone I've worked with has expressed any interest in such a thing.
