Hmmm. I'm not sure I understand at all what you're trying to do. Can you explain a little more carefully what codes are for what items? What do you mean by a source code that doesn't match it's values? If you select R, 1A, 10, 02, RO and L when you set up the code, that should be the code the code creator creates. Did you somehow mis-assign these folks to the other code? Which is the correct code for the four or five that need to be changed?

In any case, if I understand you correctly, if you have proper codes already set up in the Solicit file, then you will need to find all the records that need to be changed and then do a FMP replace on the source code field in whatever files are incorrect. That is, if you made Contact records for these folks, you'll need to change their contact records in the Contacts file (click the Contact tab for one of these records and click View Contacts). If you've entered payment records attached to these contact records, you'll need to change them as well. Remember that if two or more different sets of contacts or payments are attached to the same code, you can't identify the incorrect ones merely by selecting the source code, as you'll get all records with that source code. You'll need to find those codes that also match a particular add date and time, or some other unique identifier. In your case, since you have so few, you may be safest to just find the individuals and then change their records accordingly.

HTH, and please get back to us with more specifics if I haven't answered your question properly.

Hi all,

I somehow have a source code that doesn't match its values and now
duplicates a code with correct values. The code is R1A1002ROL. The
mismatched set of values are R, 1A, 10, 01, RO, and L. The second and
correct set is R, 1A, 10, 02, RO, and L.

Is there a way to fix this? I'd like a code to match the first set of values
and distinguish it from the second. Fortunately I have only a four or five
records tied to the mismatched values, so a change won't have a huge effect.

Thanks for any advice.
