I just went to RTFM at http://wiki.openmoko.org/wiki/Flashing_Openmoko and noticed that they recommended downloading a kernel *and* a rootfs. Does the rootfs image not include a kernel? I assumed that it did, since after flashing the 2008/07/20 OM2007.2 in particular I noticed that GPS started working while the SD card was installed.
