thats not entirely correct:
the machine the lists (and some other services) run on is indeed named
sita.openmoko.org
but the certificate has a list of alt-names:
DNS Name: sita.openmoko.org
DNS Name: lists.openmoko.org
DNS Name: people.openmoko.org
DNS Name: bugzilla.openmoko.org

for which the certificate is valid.

means: the exception is coming up due to ca-cert not being activated in
your browser or the parsing of certificates with alt-names being broken
(not that likely, most sw is working fine with it)
