This program named 'phonekit' may be what needs looking at. I have not yet found the source code for it after a little looking.
Try this hack: Go to /home/root/.evolution/addressbook/local/system and remove the file named addressbook.db.summary Then do ps -aef | grep phonekit and kill the phonekit process. Then restart the phonekit by doing: dbus-launch phone-kit & Then restart X by doing: /etc/init.d/xserver-nodm restart Check your contacts now.
