Thank you very much! Yes, frameworkd was running and reading from
ttySAC1. When I killed frameworkd, tail -f /dev/ttySAC1 started giving the
continuous output I got in 2008.8. Strangely, cat /dev/ttySAC1 still
gives only occasional pieces like before. It seems like cat is timing out
in debian (like I am used to) but didn't in 2008.8.
