since sunday i had a few deep freezes when booting debian -- first i blamed some upgraded packages and downgraded them but yesterday night at two subsequent boots the moment X should start the backlight was dimm and nothing happend. pressing pwr did not help anything -- connecting via ssh failed (no response), i had to remove the battery.
next boot i was able to login before X starts and stop that. starting X manually gave a message saying something like jffs crc error checksums differ expected something calculated somethingelse since it was rather late i did not write down the exact wording, but maybe one of the hardware guys is able to give a hint what that means, how to remedy and if it may cause the freeze? i have debian partially in flash and partially (/usr and /var) on sd card. moving debian to flash was done by simply rm'in everything in flash and rsync'ing everything except /usr and /var. _______________________________________________ support mailing list [email protected] https://lists.openmoko.org/mailman/listinfo/support
