Not long after I posted that message on the list, Neng-Yu Tu (Tony Tu) from Openmoko sent me an email, offering to mail me a replacement switch for my phone. I received it last Friday. I got it soldered in place, and my FreeRunner is now fixed, working like a charm.
Thank you OpenMoko! It's nice to see you are keeping an eye on the support list, and I appreciate the fact you helped me with my problem even if you had no obligation to.
