the log is stored in a sqlite database, probably in /var/db/ or so (look into the phonelog script, it's python and the path should be available somewhere at top). if the db does not exist, it will be recreated when the daemon starts. if only phonelog (the gui) crashes it might suffice to remove the local configs (~/.phonelog/).
