my shot in the dark would be, you've been bitten by the old sd-clock bug  
(or whatever the official name is -- has been too long since).
afaik it has been fixed long ago, but who knows what may have triggered it  
again? wouldn't hurt, at least, to check.
search the archives (and the wiki i guess) for sd clock.
iirc doing

echo 10000000 > /sys/module/glamo_mci/parameters/sd_max_clk

should fix that -- if you can mount sd afterwards, that's it. there's a  
param to the same effect for u-boot.

if it is really the bootloader, the fr came with, upgrading would be a  
good idea anyway.
