I don't know if your kernel has the wlan-driver builtin or as module (try: find /lib/modules -name ar6000.ko) If it is shown, try "modprobe ar6000". Then check "dmesg | grep AR6000", does that give you some messages? Is the interface eth0 shown in "cat /proc/net/wireless"?
