I'm using the PC version, my soekris is in an inbound load balance config currently to do further development on that. Well, I can guarantee that 0.70.4 doesn't work correctly either as I personally have made numerous multi-wan fixes since that version. And you didn't mention what you perceive to be broken in 0.84 (or which 0.84 version, there are now many subversions with more fixes in them) - I believe that's the version I'm running at home (although it may be a hair more recent).
