I guess it will be the altq and pf method then bugger the other one
works way better.

Good luck!  pf + dummynet does NOT work at all.   Take a look at the
cvstrac history and you will see that I have already integrated the
"oldschool" m0n0wall traffic shaper back into pfSense but dummynet and
pf do not work together.  Once you try to queue any packets into
dummynet all traffic just plain stops.   It's a kernel issue.
