Just for the record I only use Intel NIC's as I
have found reliability issues w/ others in the
past.  I have successfully configured and used
3COM, compaq dual port and generic broadcom 100BT
cards but find that the Intel cards are among the
most reliable on xBSD OSes.

Trust me when I say that ALL of the hardware on
ALL of the lab machines is working fine w/ Redhat,
Slackware, MiniSlack, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, and
regretably WIN32.
