Craig,

Please e-mail the support lists.   I don't have multi-lan functionality at home.

Hi Scott,

Firstly, I apologize for interrupting your family time at this time of year. I am not seeking urgent assistance, but when you have time.

I have gone through all the info in the forum learning how to successfully configure Multi-Wan, but at this point, I have been unsuccessful.

I am aware of your policy, that unless prepared to pay for support, to use the forum. I am prepared to pay for a successfully configured Dual Wan Config. I would like to know how much this assistance will cost and how to go about making payment for support.

HISTORY:

For 4 months now I have been using PFSense and over the past 2 months I have had 2 x 1500/256 ADSL accounts attached. I began with PFSense V82.4, and currently 1.0-Beta1. I have been attempting to configure Dual Wan for 2 months.

I have followed the direction on the forum how to setup Dual Wan, but the dual wan setup still is not working. I am familiar with a Windows environment and logic, but I don't fully understand the FreeBSD logic, so I am unsure if I am correctly configuring the setup.

SETUP:

CPU 2GHz

RAM 512MB DDR333

40GB HDD

4 x Netgear RTL8169S-32

PFSense 1.0-Beta1

 LAN:     192.168.1.1                                          RE:0

WAN:   172.16.10.20     GW:     172.16.10.2        RE:3

WAN2:  172.16.20.20     GW:     172.16.20.2       RE:2

OPT2    SPARE                                                 RE:1

WAN Router Static IP:   58.6.120.xx Router performs Authentication: ACTIVE and Connected

WAN2 Router Static IP:  58.6.120.xxx Router performs Authentication: ACTIVE and Connected

DHCP Assigned IP Range 192.168.1.10 192.168.1.254

Permanent IP's also assigned on LAN Users

REQUIREMENTS: Assign & Route IP's to specific WAN accounts according to User activities

Assign IP's to WAN

Assign IP's to WAN2

I think that I have not managed the firewall Rules correctly, as I can Ping the IP of Wan2 but not the GW or the Router IP or the Static IP from ISP. I have attempted to disable firewall and allow all traffic to determine if this is my problem, but that also is undetermined. I am still not able to ping the GW on WAN2 or the Static IP on the Router.

I have followed the Documentation for configuring Dual Wan but it is still unsuccessful. I am limited only to attempt to configure the Dual Wan Setup between 11PM and 3AM and if unsuccessful, I must revert it back to what is working for Business Hours. So my attempts are limited and each time I have to restart from scratch.

If you are unable or unwilling to assist, I appreciate your time.

When I first announced my interest in PFSense, I was the Guinea Pig for using the above mentioned NIC's, so far they work fine, though occasionally the drivers don't boot correctly and a reboot is necessary to load them properly. Once loaded, they work OK, throughput is as good as Intel Pro 1000/MT so far. Only time will tell how long these chipsets will survive under constant load.

I await your reply. Please advise me what you require from me if you choose to assist me in this configuration.

Kindest Regards,

Craig Roy
