Pardon the somewhat off-topic post, but I'm at my wits end. I have a cisco aironet card that was in my pfsense box. I wanted to bridge it to the LAN, but every time I tried, it would take down the ftp proxy, so I thought I'd move it to the freebsd 6.0 server. I did so. Unfortunately, I've run into a problem where the moment I add fxp0 (LAN on my BSD server) to the newly created if_bridge group, all TCP/UDP traffic comes to a screeching halt. I have RTFM'ed extensively, as well as googling, and nothing has come up. Someone on a BSD list did point out that I need to ifconfig everything back up. Done that. No joy. Wasn't sure if I needed to enable ip forwarding or disable pfil_* sysctls. So I tried everything, and still can't get to square one. Here is what I am doing:

sysctl net.inet.ip.forwarding=1
sysctl net.inet.ip.fastforwarding=1
sysctl net.inet6.ip6.forwarding=1
sysctl net.link.bridge.pfil_member=0
sysctl net.link.bridge.pfil_bridge=0
ifconfig bridge0 create
ifconfig bridge0 addm fxp0 addm ath0 up
ifconfig fxp0 up
ifconfig ath0 up

I don't think ath0 is an issue here, since the traffic through fxp0 stops even if I remove all references to ath0 above. Any ideas?
