I have started some testing with Beta2 here is some of the reports that I have.

First off great job with all the bug fixes and the addition of some new features!

All tests so far on 1 wrap platform, (planning on doing the traffic shaping tests on 2 other wraps)

Reflash went well no issues.  (Other than for a short while initial the web default page looked like it was an apache centos page, and I’m almost sure there was no centos server)

Traffic Shaping

----

Tested with Voip prioritization only @ 256kb.

- Initial tests with no traffic is excellent no choppy voip.

- Voip traffic shows about 85Kb in both directions.

Started downloading from newsgroup at max speed

- Voip is slightly choppy for the first maybe 5 secs then improves a lot and then some random drops.  (My guess is this is ofcourse because you can’t really shape downstream traffic for a cable/dsl modem and they keep trying to push their d/l limit higher)

3rd Test limited the qLanDef to 1000Mb and then 2000Mb w/ Red/ECN enabled.

- qLanDefTraffic seems to bounce around 800Kb+ and 950Kb+

- Voip is excellent full way through again (over a 10-15min call).

Question: Bill I know you said there was issues with settings the m2 max limit is this still the case?  Was this only affecting voip/low latency traffic and not regular data traffic?

Is it possible to add news (NTP port 123 to the list of other types of traffic?)

I only looked briefly into it but does anyone know if it is possible to have qos mibs?

Initially in the logs I see several processes complaining about no log space but the error seems to be gone for now.

IPSec

---

With the “Prefer Old IPsec” enable VPN still seem stable and come up quickly. Though I need to do some other testing to confirm tunnels staying up.

That’s atleast some initial reports, if there is anything else you want specially tests I can try to add that in.

I plan to do some more tests with wireless / trunking / and the new openvpn over the next bit.

Thanks

John
