Anyone else have their console connection start to announce:

Warning: no access to tty (Inappropriate ioctl for device).
Thus no job control in this shell.

Essentially, my console works after a reboot for a while; but eventually
the shell returns to the main menu (NOT because of 'auto-logout').
After which all control sequences seem to fail including up-arrow and
ctrl-c.

This problem persists regardless of terminal program; but it has always
occurred on the same Windoze box.
