Today I saw something very interesting in the System logs about this topic:
As you said I disabled the pptp at the pfsense and made some other rules
manually for redirecting pptp to my local server.
Afterwards I tried to establish a pptp connection to another firewall again and
I got the same error 619.
But this time I saw the following in the logs:
If Source Destination Proto
-----------------------------------------------------
LAN 10.1.2.1:1187 195.xx.xx.xx:1723 TCP
WAN 195.xx.xx.xx 10.1.1.10 GRE ->??
LAN 10.1.2.1 195.xx.xx.xx GRE
10.1.2.1 -> my host
195.xx.xx.xx -> remote Firewall
10.1.1.10 -> local server for pptp
Here are my rules at the pfsense:
NAT Rules:
If Proto Ext.port NAT IP int.port
--------------------------------------------------------
WAN TCP 1723 10.1.1.10 1723
(ext.: xx.xx.xx.xx)
--------------------------------------------------------
WAN GRE * 10.1.1.10 *
(ext.: xx.xx.xx.xx)
WAN Rules:
Proto Source Port Destination Port Gateway
-------------------------------------------------
TCP * * 10.1.1.10 1723 *
-------------------------------------------------
GRE * * 10.1.1.10 * *
I don't know if it the same effect or not.
What do you think?
Bernie

Unfortunately yes: http://cvstrac.pfsense.com/tktview?tn=812,6
This is a very strange bug that is pretty hard to diagnose. Disabling PPTP at
the pfSense you are natting through should temporarily fix the issue.

Subject: [pfSense Support] windows error 619 with pptp
I'm trying to establish a pptp connection from my PC (Windows XP) in my office
to another remote office.
After a while I get a Windows error message 619.
I am behind a pfSense firewall (BETA3) with NAT and the remote office is using
a m0n0wall v1.22 which terminates the VPN connection. Is this a known issue?
