We have 64 servers now, 300 broadband wireless users (using canopy on 24 towers), 200 simultaneous dialup users and a dozen or so direct LAN connected small networks. All running on 2 PFSense boxes. 1 for the servers 1 for the clients. both are P4-3GHZ, 512MB RAM, 512MB CF drives and using Beta 1.0. Client box hasn't been down for a reboot in around 60 or so days, server box hasn't been rebooted after it went into production.

We have an average throughput of around 8mb spiking as much as 40mb throughout the day.

PFSense is by far the best thing out there and I have no idea why you call it beta. Rock solid to us.

Oh ya, I like the RRD stuff in Beta 3! Giving a small timer like me the ability to look back on bandwidth trends and history is a HUGE plus! It gives me the ability to plan bandwidth properly and keeps the clients happy!

Hats off to you all again!
Tim

Subject: [pfSense Support] Biggest pfSense install

This may sound unusual but I would like to get an idea of what the
biggest "pfSense" installation is out int he wild.

Are you pushing major packets w/ pfSense, please take a moment and
describe your setup. It would be nice to know that we are helping out
in some big ways.

Thanks in advance!

Scott
