Yes, we see people almost weekly ask this question. Search the archives.

In a nutshell CARP needs to see its broadcasts on each interface that
is in a CARP configuration.

Hi all,

I searched the list and google, but I couldn't find anything useful to
resolve my problem with CARP.

The problem is that I get two CARP interfaces as master in my cluster
setup, I checked the settings (subnet mask, vhid, advskew) and they all
seem o.k., I can ping the physical interfaces (10.1.1.4 -> 10.1.1.5 and
the other way around). There are other CARP interfaces functioning
without problems.

Has anybody seen this behaviour, and more importantly: how can I debug
this problem ?
Attached are the configs from the firewalls.....
