Hi,
Here I'm again with my notorious carp problem. :(
I have created an infinite time this dual wan load-balancing carp
configuration.
The problem is that whatever I do the carp3 on xl2 become MASTER-MASTER which
is my DMZ subnet.
It doesn't matter if it si with dial or single wan, or with, or without load
balance or on which interface is it created. I have already changed cards,
switches, cables.
I have always used the wizard for carp creation. After creation sometimes it
remains correct until I force a failover (ie. reboot one of the carp machines)
What's more interesting, pe. on friday I have created it and it remained
correct until Monday morning when I rebooted the master box and this made an
end for this hopeful situation. :(
Theoretically there is a command, (ifconfig carpx state backup) which
could force the state, but it doesn't work (reference:
http://www.openbsd.org/faq/pf/carp.html )
I have pasted in my ifconfig output from both machines. Someone may find
what's wrong.
It is works as expected on all other interfaces.
Sorry for this long long letter.
Best regards
Imre Ispanovits
