Hi!
I'm currently unable to access our pfSense install from
where I am so forgive me if menu names are quoted
incorrectly here. However; inside the Logs section
there's a tab for displaying OpenVPN activity along with
other logs such as Firewal. Whilst our OpenVPN seems to
be working fine and I can see entries in the System log
that relate to OpenVPN - the specific "OpenVPN logs" tab
never seems to show anything. I'd love to be able to see
who's currently connected via the VPN.
Whilst we're on the subject of OpenVPN - is anyone
familiar with IPCop's implementation
(http://www.ipcop.org/) specifically the web UI? There
are some screenshots as part of the how-to here:
http://www.zerina.de/2005/09/15/how-to/4/
It provides everything you could possibly ask for; create
& download keys via simple forms, OpenVPN connection files
for clients (neatly bundled as a .zip, download for each
client along with a respective key), disable client keys
etc etc. A kind of elegant interface to the easy-rsa
tools bundled with OpenVPN. With IPCop I was able to get
an OpenVPN-enabled firewall up & running from scratch in
around 20 minutes...
Which was useful until I finally figured out what I was
doing wrong with OpenVPN in pfSense and promptly returned
to using pf ! :-)
Thanks,
Steve
