It means there is an Interface assigned to LAN in your config.xml which is not present in your machine anymore. For example the config.xml has rl3 for LAN but there is no rl3 interface detected at bootup. It asks for interface reassignment to make your configfile have valid information again. This way you also can move your config to a different system with different hardware. The rest of the configfile will stay the way it is.
