I spent some time on this a couple of months ago. The dev think that nothing has been changed but it does seem that something is up. There is a call somewhere that redirects it back I just cannot remember where it is. We wanted additional page in the captive portal to allow the downloading of pppoe dialer and howto for changing clients across and some other payment related stuff for hostspot use. It just got put on back burner. But your interest has made me think I should get that done now as well This works perfectly in m0n0wall.
