It's not a bug
pfsense updates DNS when it receives a new address from an ISP's DHCP
server. What is proposed is that it would update DNS for clients as it gives
DHCP leases to from it's internal DHCP server. Currently Windows clients can
only do insecure updates to BIND so it is preferable to get ISC DHCPD to
update BIND on their behalf as the leases are dished out.
