Hello all, I hope someone can help me with this problem. I just installed PFSense on an IBM PC300Pl which has 4 NIC's (Intel 10/100 onboard, 3 compaq netilligent tlan). I have a server behind a Dell Switch on vlan 13. I have the port connected to the PFSense set to tag vlan ID 13 and untag vlan id 1. On the PFSense I have tl0 assigned to the LAN and vlan0 assigned to the DMZ and utilizing tl0 id13. The problem I am having is that when I attempt to connect to the server on the DMZ from the LAN I can get a web page to show up but when I try to view a picture or use webmail it times out. When I connect to the same web pages from a machine which is in the DMZ there are no problems. I think there is a problem with the Vlan tagging on the tlan NIC but I don't know how to troubleshoot this. Can someone help?
I'd say start with ping, from the pfsense. http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/man.cgi?query=ping&sektion=8&apropos=0&manpath=freebsd start pinging devices on different vlans, using ping -I to specify what interface you want pfsense to send the pings out on. If you can ping devices on all vlans, then you know that you have baseline connectivity. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
