Hi all,

I have an ACROSSER system with UDMA100 HDD and had little trouble to
install pfSense properly. But at least I got the reason for it, it's the
VIA chip (VIA VT82C686B) who is buggy at UDMA100 mode.

When I set the DMA mode to UDMA66 with

#: atacontrol mode ad0 udma4

the error messages stopping.

But there some things that bothers me:

How I install pfSense with right UDMA mode?

In which file I must insert the above atacontrol command, so that this
setting is persistent?

When I upgrade pfSense, will I lost these settings?

Best regards

        Jens
