Hello all, I replaced our Sonicwall Pro 330 this weekend with pfSense v1.0.1 on a Nokia IP330, 400MHZ, 256MB. I did this mainly because of the many features that pfSense offers. It is working great. We have about 250 LAN users, 6 site-site IPSec VPN's, and, thanks to the OpenVPN feature, we now have 5 OpenVPN clients at remote facilities. I love being able to see traffic graphs, connection states, individual log files, etc...... Thanks to all of you for your hard work!!!!
Now for my problem. We also have 3 small LAN subnets that are behind dumb routers that we have to access frequently. Unfortunately, one of the things that I take for granted in a router is "icmp redirect". It does seem to be missing in my version of pfSense as I've tried desperately to get it working. After a couple hours of searching and reading, I found a posting by Peter Allgeyer in July that states my problem exactly. http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.comp.security.firewalls.pfsense.support/71 15/focus=7115 There was no response from anyone to his posting so I am still at a loss for what is the problem and if there is a solution other than what Peter did. Could someone offer insight to this problem and, hopefully, a solution. ;-) Warmest regards, Mitch --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
