Hi Scott,
It still does not make sense in an embedded pfSense system.
In the embedded environment, the usr.uzip is mounted as read-only
/usr very early during the boot-up. The file /usr/local/lib/php.ini
would still be read-only and would not be accessible for write by
/etc/inc/system.inc.
I'll look into the embedded image to see how the boot-up process
deals with this.
