Afaik all atheros based cards support aes in hardware. Have a look at
http://madwifi.org/wiki/Compatibility for cards that should work just
fine. I'm using CM9's but those are minipci.

Bridging 2 wireless interfaces to each other is not possible due to a
driver limitation. You only can bridge a wireless interface that is in
hostap mode to another interface. For your bridge you most likely want
one interface as hostap, the other as infrastructure. Routing works fine
though.

Subject: [pfSense Support] Good Wireless Card?

        Hi All,

I've checked the FreeBSD compatibility list, but it's hard to
find any recommendations from anyone who has managed to set up a system
that I am looking for...

I am trying to buy two PCI wireless cards with the ath(4) static
turbo 108 cards that support AES encryption (preferably running a
network bridge and RADIUS).

Has anyone used pfSense to achieve this kind of setup with cards
they can recommend?

Would I be right in thinking that even if the card itself
doesn't claim to support AES, FreeBSD can provide it with software
drivers?

        Many thanks,

        Joe
