If I'm not mistaken the entire bus is running at around a Gbps on the VIA... so if you don't mind 200 - 300 Mbps (with a light filtering load, fairly vanilla config) it should be okay I would think.
People often stated they want Gbps speed, but aren't really expecting 999 Mbps of throughput, just something a little above Fast Ethernet... what are your real expectations?
