I don't get how the 2 machines are connected to each other but you probably are missing some routes somewhere.
Please provide more details, maybe a small ascii diagram to describe the topology. Disable the firewalls filter altogether in Advanced menu is activated. Pfsense machine2 with 3 eth. LAN with 7.1 xl0 WAN with 27.42 xl2 Default gw .27.41 If I make here an "arp -i xl2 -a", i can see the mac of .27.41 and .27.42. Whith this config, i cannot "see" anything in Internet (using machine2 like gateway for private lan); no ping to public IP... nothing. Anybody could help me with this please? What is escaping me?
