[pfSense Support] webConfigurator failed to start

Hi, my webConfigurator failed to start after a new installation (newly
compiled binary). The error messages found in the system log are:
 
Error: cannot determine root pwd in sync_webgui_passwords(). Root user
struct follows:
Unable to determine root user!
Testing whether your system has the necessary users
users are missing
 
I am not sure whether these made the webConfigurator to fail but these
are the only suspicious messages.
