Has anyone tried using schedules to control load balancing across multiple WANs?
I have a site with 2 WANs, usually one of which is reserved exclusively for VoIP telephony, the other being for general net access. What I'd like to do is set up a schedule such that between hours when no-one's on-site both connections can be load balanced for general net traffic (mainly to speed up the offsite backups which are uploaded each night). So, from, say 6am-midnight the gateway for the LAN default allow all rule would be WAN1. Between midnight and 6am the gateway would change to one I've created in the load balancer config: "Balanced". Looking at the help for scheduler logic, I came across this: "If you have a pass rule and the rule is outside of the schedule, the traffic will be BLOCKED regardless of pass rules that occur after this rule." In light of this, it seems I couldn't simply create two default allow rules, one for day and one for night. How would one go about creating the necessary rules for this? Thanks in advance.
