I only can answer point 1) of your question by now: this feature is already implemented in the HEAD-version (alpha status) so it will come sooner or later (somewhen in 2008 i think)

I've found out I have to edit the config.xml. Is it right? 1b) Regarding 'unplanned' shutdowns: for example, if I need to shutdown or reboot the pfSense box once at 8:00PM without the need to edit critical systems file, I thought to use the AT unix utility, but I don't understand what syntax I have to use. Can you help me? 2) Does pfSense offer a heartbeat feature? I explain better: think to the same feature offered by Windows NT based operating systems, which shows in the Event Viewer when the system boot ups and shutdowns. How can I track such activities in a plain text log file? Thank you in advance both for support and the great product pfSense is! ___________________________________________________________ Want ideas for reducing your carbon footprint? Visit Yahoo!
