Is there a driver in 1.2-RC3-embedded for USB-Serial
converters? or a way to add it in?
-- this is on an ALIX.2C3 board built with
pfSense-1.2-RC3-Embedded.img -- so far everything else
is working great!

The converter does show up in the system.log as a
generic device, but I can't seem to talk to it:
Dec 12 23:33:23 hostname kernel: ugen0: FIDI
USBSERIALCONVERTER, rev 1.10/4.00, addr 2

I believe this is working in FreeBSD. (and likely in a
full install of pfSense?) Is this something that was
left out of the embedded version? Will I need to
build a new image? I do know this very converter works
well under both linux and OS X. - in fact I used it
under OS X to bring up the ALIX board serial console
in terminal.app - using screen - it worked very well.

I'm a newbie to BSD - just setup this pfSense FW as
well as a 'normal' FreeBSD box as well to do some
poking around and learning.

from OS X, the details of the converter are:
   Version: 4.00
   Bus Power (mA): 500
   Speed: Up to 12 Mb/sec
   Manufacturer: FIDI
   Product ID: 0x6001
   Serial Number: FTCDLDDH
   Vendor ID: 0x0403

Thanks for any and all help, pointers, or even RTFM
pointers if I missed it ;-)
