Sigh.... Sorry guys, it _is_ early over here in England. I downloaded the wrong image file didn't I!
After downloading the "full update" file for 1.2 RC3 everything performed as expected. I will now unsubscribe from this list and have myself flogged. ;-) Steve _____ From: Steve Harman [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 14 December 2007 08:07 To: [email protected] Subject: [pfSense Support] Upgraded to 1.2 but pfSense stays on 1.0.1? Hi! \\ pfSense 1.0.1 Following tips from the support list (thanks!) I downloaded 1.2RC3-Embedded from one of the mirrors listed at http://pfsense.loquefaltaba.com/downloads/ and went ahead with the following: pfSense > Firmware > Enable Firmware Upload > [browse to the local pfSense-1.2-RC3-Embedded.img.gz file] > Upload. First off I received a warning from pfSense about "The digital signature on this image is invalid...." So I downloaded a fresh copy of pfSense-1.2-RC3-Embedded.img.gz from a different mirror and tried that. Same error when I tried uploading the image so I assumed this was a known issue with 1.2 RC3 rather than anything sinister. The upgrade appeared to go OK, our box restarted as normal & came back (thankfully) working.... Only it still reports being on 1.0.1, not 1.2 RC3. Does anyone have any thoughts as to what I did wrong? Thanks, Steve
