We recently changed the sound to be far less annoying in VMware and 
other machines with lower hz. Especially VMware seemed to be terrible. 
If you want to remove it completely, you can 'rm /usr/local/bin/beep.sh' 
and it won't play anymore (unless you upgrade or cvssync)
