You have a number of issues. With the same address range no routing based method will work (NAT ipsec etc.) because there is no differentiation between the address spaces.
Only a bridging mode connection would work (pptp) does this but usually it is configured with individual clients Even if you get it to work any duplicate IP addresses would cause issues. I suggest you change one of the addressing ranges Rob ----- Original Message ----- From: "lartc" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "pfsense-users" <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, 7 April, 2008 1:06:35 PM GMT +00:00 GMT Britain, Ireland, Portugal Subject: [pfSense Support] ipsec tunnel between two lans with the same ip address space hi all, i have inherited two sites that need to be connected with an ipsec tunnel -- issue is that each lan on each side of the tunnel is identical rfc1918 address space (172.16.16.0/16). is there a way to overcome this with nat -- i've tried everything i can think of to no avail. thanks cheers charles --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
