wouldn't the ARP cache be cleared by rebooting the pfsense box ?? (i rebooted 3 or 4 times)
if not, do I have to clear it using the arp command on the console, or via the gui (couldn't find the arp-cache in gui, so I assume that I have to do this in the command console ?)

thanks for your quick reply though :) --- 5 minutes between question and answer, awesome ;-)

I backed up my config.xml, took another computer, added the same network
configuration... installed pfSense 1.2.1 (build of today).
Restored config.xml, re-installed packages (within restore function)... and
the new config worked fine (including ipsec vpn and all)... but

We have a range of wan ip-adresses (5) going from .137 gateway, to .142 ---
the subnet is /29

I have several NAT/Rules setups to pass through HTTP and HTTPS traffic on
almost every WAN IP, which works fine on a 1.2 release.
But after upgrading to 1.2.1 the .139 will not pass ANY traffic at all
??????? Any other ip in my wanip range, just passes http fine !??

I've added in pf 1.2 virtual ip's to the wan-ip's to be able to setup
rules... in config they are being seen as ProxyARP... which works out just
fine in 1.2 - but for this one WAN IP it won't work at all (neither http,
https nor smtp will work)...
Setting up smtp on any other wan-ip (within my range ofcourse) will work
just fine....

When running pftop on the console, there is no traffic coming in from the
external computer that I am testing my http/smtp traffic.

For now, I have put the original pfsense box back in place... what else can
I check on the new pfSense ??

kind regards,
michel
