There's a reason you aren't getting the responses you want on the
OpenBSD list where you asked the exact same question and here. For
one, you're not likely to find any Linux users here, at least not any
that are intimately familiar with Linux firewalls. Two, it doesn't
matter, they do two entirely different things. pfsync is infinitely
better for pf because conntrackd won't do anything with pf. If you're
using Linux, obviously conntrackd is better because pfsync isn't going
to do anything for you there.
