Interesting, no reply to this.

Let me ask differently: does any of you who use snmp to get info from pfsense 
notice increase in cpu usage when bsnmpd is started? How large is your increase?

I'd like to understand what is causing this ... is it pps? kbps? number of 
states? Something else? We have about 40Mbps, 5kpps and 50-70k states, which 
should not be much for a modern machine.
