Hello pfsense-Freaks! i am not a freak, so sorry for having some difficulties you know the solutions of course..
THE PROBLEMS: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------- 1) i need to install the lame package (of course not for comercial use) I actually use the old 1.2-RELEASE based on freebsd 6.2 (as firewall server, router with 3 vlan´s users and in front of an webserver with 3 non commercial homepages) On the package Server ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports/i386/packages-6-stable/All used with pkg_add the audio/lame package is not included, so then i upgraded my ports tree with csup. There is the Package /audio/lame OR on sourceforge (wget http://switch.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/lame/lame-398-2.tar.gz). ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------- 2) But i need the commands "make install clean" so i only found the developers package (wget http://www.pfsense.com/~sullrich/extra/developer_pkg.tgz - old; removed from the pfsense package list because of problems) this does not work, maybe the make in the developer packackge is too old:
# make "/usr/share/mk/bsd.port.mk", line 7: Could not find /usr/ports/Mk/bsd.port.mk "Makefile", line 35: Malformed conditional (${ARCH} == "i386") "Makefile", line 37: if-less endif "/usr/share/mk/bsd.port.mk", line 7: Could not find /usr/ports/Mk/bsd.port.mk make: fatal errors encountered -- cannot continue
-> So i decided to install imake:
# pkg_add -r imake-1.0.2_4,1 Fetching ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports/i386/packages-6-stable/All/imake-1.0 .2_4,1.tbz... Stop.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------- 3) So maybe there is only one possibility - to install a new developer Edition? But there is only the 1.2.2 Developer Version based on FreeBSD 7.0 not the new 1.2.3 based on FreeBSD 7.1 (got some security patches) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------ 4) is multicast (for IP-TV important) included already or how long have i to wait for it (pfsense is really great!) (If not i must put a external router Speedport W 920V before the pfsende :-( this makes no sip voip possible for userer behind the pfsense of course with siproxd.) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------ 5) can i import in the new pfsense version the old config.xml file (exported in my 1.2 version with the backup feature) Resume: A new installation makes only sense if multicast works, but i need the lame package now ... Thank you very much for your help ;-) Ralf --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [email protected] For additional commands, e-mail: [email protected] Commercial support available - https://portal.pfsense.org
