personally I'd rather take my chance with a second-hand Cisco off ebay (which is what I did at home) - a 24 x 10/100 port switch with a couple of gigabit uplinks for home file server was barely GB£60.
you can then measure traffic usage, have a guest vlan etc which gives you high geek ratings :-)
